How to report an issue
On a supported calculator page, select Report an issue. The form is tied to that calculator and lets you choose an issue type, describe what happened, add optional steps or values to reproduce it, and optionally provide an email address for a reply. Normal calculator inputs are not sent automatically; include only the details needed to explain the problem.
If the form is unavailable, or if your message concerns a guide, policy, privacy, or another page, email [email protected]. Please include the page URL, the specific claim or result, the values or steps involved when relevant, and a reliable source if you have one.
What to report
- A calculation, formula, unit conversion, rounding, or displayed result that appears incorrect.
- An outdated, unclear, missing, or unsupported statement or source.
- An accessibility or usability problem, including keyboard, screen-reader, layout, or form issues.
- A broken link, image, data display, or other technical problem.
How reports are handled
Submitted calculator reports are stored for the Octa Calculator team to assess. We compare the report with the calculator's logic, current page content, and relevant source material. Where an issue is confirmed, we may correct the formula, data, wording, source note, or page behavior. Where the evidence is incomplete, we may clarify the page or request more detail if a reply address was provided.
We do not promise that every report will receive a personal reply, lead to a change, or be resolved within a fixed period. A correction may be published without an individual notification. Critical site errors may be prioritized ahead of wording or enhancement requests.
Privacy when reporting
Do not include account credentials, payment details, government identifiers, medical records, or other sensitive personal information. The calculator issue form stores only the details you enter, the relevant calculator page, and an abuse-prevention hash; an email address is optional. See the Privacy Policy for the full description of report data.
Source corrections and removals
If you believe a source is inaccurate, outdated, inaccessible, or being described incorrectly, send the page URL and the reason. We will check the cited material and either correct the reference, clarify its scope, replace it with a better source, or remove the unsupported claim.
